Community Page

Your organisation may be planning a charity event, wanting to let people know about an exercise class in your community, or searching for volunteers.

Contact us by emailing OSC@msd.govt.nz

Remember to include Community Page in the headline and let us know well in advance the dates the event is happening.

It would help to add a photo attached to the email, and provide details you think people would like to know.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

If you are deaf or you are severely hearing impaired, there are free hearing dogs who may be able to help.

Like guide dogs, hearing dogs can alert owners to fire alarms, text messages, door bells, and oven timers.

The dogs are wonderful companions and help improve social interaction and confidence, as well as providing security and independence.

You can get in contact with the Hearing Dogs NZ charity and they will be able to help you.
